The Curley's Haunt, operating from 4737 Concord Pike, Ste 510, Wilmington, DE 19803 (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit https://www.thecurleyshaunt.com/ (the “Site”), create an account, purchase tickets, submit a contact or volunteer form, or otherwise interact with us online. This Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Information We Collect

a. Information You Provide Directly. We collect information you provide when you interact with the Site, including:

  • Account Information: name, email address, password, and username when you create an account.
  • Ticket Purchase Information: name, billing address, email, phone number, and payment details (processed by our third-party payment processor — see Section 3) when you buy tickets.
  • Contact Form Submissions: name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message.
  • Volunteer Applications: name, contact information, age, availability, prior experience, and any other information you choose to include on the application. If you are accepted into the Volunteer Program, we may also collect additional information necessary for onboarding, such as emergency contact details or, where applicable and with separate consent, background check results.
  • Communications: information you provide when you contact us by email, phone, or through the Site.

b. Information Collected Automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain information through cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies, including:

  • IP address, browser type and version, device type, and operating system;
  • Pages viewed, links clicked, time spent on pages, and referring/exit URLs;
  • Approximate geographic location (derived from IP address);
  • Date and time of access, and other usage and analytics data.

c. Information from Third Parties. We may receive information about you from third-party service providers, such as our payment processor (confirming a transaction was completed) or analytics providers.

2. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, keep you logged into your account, process ticket purchases, and understand how visitors use the Site (analytics). We may use third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) that use cookies to collect usage data. You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them; however, disabling cookies may prevent certain features of the Site — such as logging in or completing a ticket purchase — from working properly.

3. Payment Processing

Ticket purchases on the Site are processed by a third-party payment processor, Stripe, Inc. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own servers. Information you submit to complete a payment is collected and processed directly by the payment processor in accordance with its own privacy policy and applicable payment card industry (PCI-DSS) standards. We receive limited transaction information (such as confirmation of payment, order total, and a partial or masked card number) needed to fulfill and track your order.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account;
  • Process and fulfill ticket orders, including sending order confirmations and e-tickets;
  • Evaluate, process, and administer volunteer applications and manage volunteer participation;
  • Respond to inquiries submitted through contact forms;
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
  • Send administrative communications, such as order updates, schedule changes, or weather-related closures;
  • Send promotional or marketing communications about the Attraction, where you have opted in or as otherwise permitted by law (you may opt out at any time — see Section 8);
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service and this Policy.
5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information as follows:

  • Service Providers: with vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing, website hosting, email delivery, and analytics, who are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide those services to us.
  • Legal Compliance and Safety: when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, subpoena, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our staff, other users, or the public.
  • Business Transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or a portion of our business, in which case personal information may be among the assets transferred.
  • With Your Consent: for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time you provide the information, or with your consent.
6. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Account creation, ticket purchases, and volunteer applications are intended for individuals 18 and older. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@thecurleyshaunt.com.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including maintaining your account, providing customer support, complying with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and resolving disputes. Volunteer application information for applicants who are not accepted, or who withdraw, is generally retained for a limited period and then deleted or anonymized, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights, and the right to appeal a denied request by contacting us using the information in Section 12.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
